Libéma Open

Every June, the grounds of Autotron in ’s-Hertogenbosch become the stage for world-class grass-court tennis. During the Libéma Open, top players from the Netherlands and abroad gather to fine-tune their game ahead of the prestigious Wimbledon Championships. Over the years, the tournament has become a much-loved tradition, attracting not only tennis enthusiasts but also visitors who appreciate its unique atmosphere.

The setting plays an important role in creating that experience. Once again, we were proud to contribute to the tournament’s green appearance. Throughout the venue, we installed a carefully curated selection of trees and plants that complement the natural surroundings of Autotron. A conscious choice was made for sustainable greenery with a long lifespan, offering an environmentally friendly alternative to temporary floral arrangements.

At the entrance and along the fencing, the columns were enhanced with palms combined with Muehlenbeckia, creating elegant green accents that naturally guide visitors through the venue. Around the pickleball court, a selection of low-growing evergreen plants was used to create a calm and cohesive appearance that blends seamlessly with the rest of the site.

Sustainability remains a key consideration in every aspect of the project. When selecting plants and materials, we focus on reusability, longevity and responsible use of greenery. In doing so, we contribute not only to the visual appeal of the event but also to the organisation’s sustainability ambitions.
