Mauritshuis existed for no less than 200 years in 2022 and what is a birthday without flowers? The entire museum was in bloom for a year.
In February we transformed the facade into a flower waterfall. It continued into the foyer below. We also put the flowers outside in 24 flower boxes for the square at the museum. We changed the flowers in these flower boxes every 6 weeks according to season.
We started with the real spring flowers, the most beautiful balls. Followed 6 weeks later by beautiful tulips. So spring all the way! Of course, these spring bloomers in the silk variety had to be added to the bouquet on the facade. After the tulips it was time for something fruity! And we transformed the flower garden into a testing ground! Visitors could pick their own strawberries and then enjoy them! We also added the silk variant of the strawberry to the flower waterfall.
At that moment we were at the start of summer and what a beautiful summer bloomer.. peonies! The 24 boxes were brightened up by hundreds of peonies. After which we continued the summer with a mix of the most beautiful summer bloomers we could think of, it was a big cheerful sea of flowers. From peonies to delphiniums, we have also added a number of silk summer flowers to the bouquet on the facade.
After this it was time for late summer, which is only possible with beautiful dahlias. We have added the beautiful dahlia in multiple colors to the silk waterfall. After 6 weeks autumn arrived, for this season we made a great mix of all kinds of plants. Then you will soon have had all the seasons. But there was still 1 theme waiting for us..
Christmas! We picked up the 24 flower boxes and replaced them with 24 beautiful Christmas trees with red and gold balls! During this change we also removed the enormous waterfall of flowers from the facade. We have transformed these into more than a hundred beautiful silk bouquets at the store.
