Flowers, flowers and more flowers
On the occasion of its 200th anniversary, the Mauritshuis is treating the public to the exhibition “In full bloom” where the most beautiful flower still lifes from the seventeenth century are exhibited. During this time the flower still life fully blossomed; from ‘impossible’ fantasy bouquets to richly decorated spectacles. All equally breathtaking and a feast of colour.
When you arrive at the Mauritshuis, you will be treated to a veritable sea of flowers. On the facade we created two “bouquets” with a base of lilac wood with different silk flowers in between. This “impossible bouquet” will grow into a rich bouquet of flowers during the exhibition, which lasts until 6 June. In front of the Mauritshuis are planters made from recycled waste containing a garden of different flowers, which also change with the seasons. Just like it happens in a real garden.
